01 — Where the boats lie

The sailing areas of Croatia, biggest fleet first

Dalmatia holds most of the fleet: the Split region for the central islands, Zadar and Šibenik for the Kornati, Dubrovnik for the south. Istria and Kvarner in the north are quieter water.

03 — The bases

Where you set off

A charter boards at the marina its company names for your week — we show that marina on every card and every page, never a guess. The busiest bases first.

04 — When to go

Season, wind and the week

Late April to October, with July and August the busiest and most expensive weeks; the maestral fills in from the north-west on summer afternoons, and the bura can close a day in spring or autumn. Nearly every fleet changes over on Saturday.

Most fleets change over on Saturday. A dated search shows only boats whose company allows exactly your stay — we never move your dates.
